Congress President and brother Rahul Gandhi welcomes Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Uttar Pradesh as General Secretary for East region. The Hindi heartland UP has largest number of seats – 80 seats in the country. As Priyanka has taken the plunge, it’s clear that pre General Elections, Congress is in attack mode!
Priyanka will assist brother Rahul in UP politico agenda. Love it or hate it, Congress has their game on and surely know what they’re doing. Even after controversies and speculations, you know who is now active in politics and UP can be ready for a political rollercoaster. Especially after the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) announced their tie-up in UP.
Priyanka is to officially begin from first week of February. A Congressman said, “She will take over her new assignment in the politically crucial state.”
After the UP alliance, Priyanka’s entry in politics has been a masterstroke! SP and BSP recently got into an alliance, the UP alliance.
Rahul Gandhi said, “I am very happy that my sister Priyanka will assist me in UP in the Lok Sabha polls. She is very capable.”
“We will play on the frontfoot, not back foot”, says Rahul.
