Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of six Rabi crops for the 2025-26 Rabi season.
Dr. Yadav emphasized that prioritizing farmers remains a central commitment of the Shri Modi’s government.
During the Union Cabinet meeting held in New Delhi on Wednesday, it was decided that the highest MSP increase would be Rs 300 per quintal for rapeseed and mustard, followed by Rs 275 per quintal for lentils. MSPs for gram, wheat, safflower, and barley have been raised by Rs 210, Rs 150, Rs 140, and Rs 130 per quintal, respectively.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, on behalf of the farmers of Madhya Pradesh and the nation, has warmly welcomed this decision.
He remarked that, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the Central Government has implemented numerous historic measures for farmers over the past decade, leading to continuous growth in their prosperity and well-being.
In Wednesday’s Union Cabinet meeting, the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for various Rabi crops was raised.
Wheat saw an increase from Rs. 2275 to Rs. 2425 per quintal, while barley’s MSP rose from Rs. 1850 to Rs. 1980.
Gram’s support price increased from Rs. 5440 to Rs. 5650, and lentils from Rs. 6425 to Rs. 6700.
Rapeseed and mustard experienced an increase from Rs. 5650 to Rs. 5950, and safflower’s MSP was raised from Rs. 5800 to Rs. 5940 per quintal.
