Chief Secretary Anurag Jain stated that, aligning with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s vision, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Maha Abhiyan (PM Kusum Yojana) should be widely implemented across the state.
He emphasized the importance of a cooperative approach by banks, prioritizing support for this initiative.
Jain urged the Agriculture and Energy Departments, along with banks, to launch a coordinated campaign promoting solar energy.
These directives were given by Shri Jain at the 191st State Level Bankers Committee meeting held in the Ministry on Wednesday.
Jain emphasized the importance of adhering to timelines in implementing schemes.
He urged banks that have not yet met their targets to intensify their efforts.
Self-help groups should be empowered to transform people’s lives.
He called for coordinated efforts between banks and government departments to advance the state’s development.
Resolving pending cases should be prioritized and a micro plan should be developed, considering both the skills and productivity of individuals involved.
Jain emphasized the need to raise awareness about the accident insurance scheme by reaching out directly to villages.
He also recommended expanding bank branches in rural areas and suggested involving revenue officers to aid in loan recovery.
Additionally, the Chief Secretary instructed the formation of committees to address issues related to MSMEs, self-help groups, solar energy, stamp duty and banking, with a report to be submitted within a month.
During the meeting, the minutes of the 189th and 190th SLBC meetings held on July 11, 2024, were confirmed.
In the meeting, the progress of government-sponsored schemes under the Annual Loan Plan for the financial year 2024-25 was reviewed.
The performance of Regional Rural Banks, promotion of trades and MSME clusters, presentation of the Energy Department, and institutional finance were discussed in detail.
National Rural Livelihood Mission, PM Swanidhi Yojana, National Urban Livelihood Mission, PM Micro Food Processing Enterprises, Agricultural Infrastructure Fund, PM Vishkarma Yojana, CM Gramin Awas, PM Swanidhi, CM Rural Street Vendors, Uniform Banking Timings in Public Sector Banks, stamp duty in government schemes, transfer/acquisition of agricultural land, bank charges, PM Kusum-A and PM Kusum-C schemes were discussed.
