School Education and Transport Minister Uday Pratap said to construct an airstrip in Balaghat to boost tourism in Kanha National Park.

He highlighted that the state government has also initiated an airlift plan for the treatment of critical patients, making the construction of an airstrip essential in the area.

Minister Singh, also the district’s In-charge, shared these updates while addressing a meeting with district officials in Balaghat.

On this occasion, MLAs Rajkumar Karrahe, Gaurav Pardhi, Sanjay Uike, Madhu Bhagat, Vicky Patel, Anubha Munjare and former minister Ramkishore Nano Kawre were also present.

Prepare an action plan for repairing roads

The Minister-in-charge Singh directed the Public Works Department officials to prepare an action plan for repairing all the roads in the district.

He said that from the month of November, the work of repairing roads in the district will be carried out on a war footing. He asked the senior officials to pay special attention to the quality of the roads.

Prepare a report on the condition of school buildings as well

The Minister-in-charge Singh asked the officials of the School Education and Tribal Affairs Department to prepare a report on the condition of school buildings in the district in the review meeting.

He said that the work of construction and repair of school buildings should be undertaken on priority. He also inquired about the status of surplus teachers in schools.

The Minister-in-charge inquired about the bus system operating in the district.

He said that a new system will soon be implemented to monitor the systematic operation of buses. This system will also monitor the passenger fares of buses.

Municipal Council President Smt. Bharti Thakur and local public representatives were present in the meeting.
