He said that the untimely demise of any person in the family creates a huge void.

There are very few people who fill this void by serving the needy.

Late Shri Shitala Sahay had done this work by establishing a prestigious cancer hospital after the death of his son due to cancer.

Similarly, Karan Singh Kirar established such a hospital after the loss of his son Devraj Singh Kirar.

He prayed to God that the hospital should progress gradually so that the residents of Gwalior area can have better treatment facilities.

He said that in 2003, medical colleges existed only in Gwalior, Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, and Rewa in Madhya Pradesh.

Now there are 14 government medical colleges in the state. Apart from this, a private medical college has also been established.

Shukla said that it is a matter of happiness that a 100-bed ultramodern hospital has been established in Gwalior and this hospital will be ready with one thousand beds and a medical college in future.

The state government is also pleased that quality health services will be available at affordable rates in this hospital.
