Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi on Thursday dedicated to people the newly designed website and SHe-box portal of the Women and Child Development Department.
On this occasion, officers of the Women and Child Development Department of all the states were connected virtually.
For the convenience of the common people, a chatbot has also been provided with links to Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya, etc. from where it can be easily accessed.
Union Minister Annapurna Devi said that this initiative is an important step towards protecting the rights of women and providing them with a safe workplace.
SHe-box Portal
The SHe-Box portal has been created to register complaints of sexual harassment of women employees working in organized or unorganized private or public sector in the Center and State.
Any woman facing sexual harassment at the workplace can lodge her complaint online through this portal.
Complaints lodged through the portal are kept completely confidential.
Once the complaint is registered in the SHe-box, it will be directly sent to the concerned authority having jurisdiction to take action.
These complaints will be monitored by the officials of the internal committees of the institutions. This portal is open not only for government employees but also for women working in the private sector.
