The newly appointed Chief Secretary Anurag Jain on Thursday held his first meeting at Mantralaya with the Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Secretaries to discuss the roadmap for a Vikasit Madhya Pradesh. During the meeting,

Jain emphasized the importance of working with team spirit and collaboration.

He urged officials to explore additional avenues and resources to boost the state’s income.

Jain also stressed the need for officers to stay continuously updated on the latest technologies and innovations relevant to their respective sectors.

During the meeting, Anurag Jain apprised himself about the various schemes being implemented in the state by both the Central and state governments.

The discussion also covered the challenges faced in executing these schemes and potential solutions to overcome them.

Jain emphasized that thorough discussions should precede any planning in the state, and once the government makes a decision, it should be executed effectively to ensure positive outcomes.

Chief Secretary Jain instructed officials to advance the state’s development schemes by maintaining regular communication and coordination with departmental officers of the Government of India.

He also directed all officers to compile a database for their respective departments, with the goal of creating a comprehensive master database.

In the meeting, Agriculture Production Commissioner Mohammad Suleman gave suggestions regarding making a policy for processing horticulture crops.

Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura gave information about the plans and implementation of the Water Resources and Narmada Valley Development Department.

Additional Chief Secretary Malay Srivastava gave information about gaushala, Gram Rozgar Sahayak under Panchayat and Rural Development, Additional Chief Secretary S.N. Mishra gave information about Dial 100, Police Band, Loudspeaker Control, Forensic Investigation of Heinous Crimes, Madhya Pradesh Correctional Services and Prison Act under the Home, Jail, Transport Department, Additional Chief Secretary Ashok Barnawal about two Tiger Reserves and New Century Park, Tiger Management, Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Dubey about building a data center under science and technology, preparation for Simhastha 2028, change in departmental work allocation rules, Principal Secretary Neeraj Mandloi gave information about PM Awas, Swachh Bharat Mission, Bhopal-Indore Metro, making self-reliant bodies, Principal Secretary Higher Education Department and Horticulture Anupam Rajan about PM Usha, Pradhan Mantri College of Excellence, Principal Secretary Sheoshekhar Shukla about Ram Van Gaman Path under Tourism Department, Krishna Patheya, Principal Secretary Raghavendra Singh on Regional Industry Conclave, Principal Secretary Sanjay Shukla on Zila Vikas Pustika, Dr. Sanjay Goyal gave information on the distribution of school uniforms, bicycles, laptops, and scooters under the Education Department.

Additional Chief Secretary K.C. Gupta, Smita Bhardwaj, Rashmi Arun Shami, Principal Secretary Deepali Rastogi, Amit Rathore, Gulshan Bamra and other officers were present in the meeting.
