Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is the most suitable destination for ready-made garments for investors and industrialists.

He informed that there has been an unprecedented increase in the area under cotton sowing in Madhya Pradesh. The cotton here is the best.

This is the reason why cotton mills have been in demand in Indore, Madhya Pradesh for years. Madhya Pradesh being in the centre of the country makes its connectivity all the more useful for transportation across the country.

Representatives of international and national level companies from the garment sector participated in the round-table meet.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was interacting at the Roundtable Meet on Readymade Garments at Invest Madhya Pradesh Roadshow in Bengaluru.

He discussed in the meeting the possibilities of cooperation with investors for the development of the garment industry in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is making a mark as a suitable destination for the readymade garment industry.

Currently, several major companies, such as Best Corp and Gokaldas, are investing in the state.

Investment in ready-made industries will strengthen the economic condition of Madhya Pradesh.

New employment opportunities will be created in the state and economic activities will gain momentum.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the presence of major apparel companies will improve the industrial infrastructure in the state.

This will encourage the setting up of new manufacturing units and factories, thereby accelerating regional growth.

This will empower the state in global competitiveness.

All these efforts will create a positive environment for investment.

In the roundtable meeting focused on apparel, investors and industrialists deliberated on the potential and opportunities in the state in the field of cotton production and apparel manufacturing.

Suggestions were made on topics such as capital generation, skill development, storage and logistic hubs, spinning mills, permissions and facilities, etc.
