The meeting of the Cabinet was held in Mantralaya under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Cabinet approved the reorganization of the Directorate of Financial Management Information System under the Finance Department, the creation of 47 new posts, the amendment in rules, and the formation of (the PMU) Project Management Unit.

This decision will further improve the quality and accuracy of the financial management of the state.

The Directorate of Financial Management Information System has been in existence since 1980.

Through this, continuous monitoring of income and expenditure of the state government, main and supplementary budget of the state government, monitoring of cash balance of the state government, debt management of the state government, various financial information based on the income and expenditure data received from the Accountant General’s office and analysis work is carried out.

Keeping in view the continuous changes/improvements in budget processes and the need for greater alertness and vigilance in financial transactions, the decision was taken to strengthen the current organizational structure of the Financial Management Information System Directorate.

Financial assistance given for last rites to Loktantra Senanis hiked

The Cabinet approved a hike in the amount given for the last rites of Loktantra Senanis from the present amount of Rs 8 thousand to Rs 10 thousand and also approved the cremation of the deceased Loktantra Senanis with state honours.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had announced this on 26 June 2024. To fulfill the announcement, permission was given to amend clause 5(2) of Madhya Pradesh Loktantra Senani Samman Niyam 2018 to increase the amount of assistance given for their funerals and to substitute new clause 5(3) for cremation with state honours.

Approval for updating Madhya Pradesh Work (Allocation) Rules

The Cabinet approved the replacement of the existing entries under the Energy Department and Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department in the Madhya Pradesh Work (Allocation) Rules as per the summary.

Due to changes in the structure of various departments and expansion of their functions and merger of departments with each other, there has been a lot of change in the activities of the departments.

Due to the launch of many schemes, the responsibilities of the departments have also changed.

Accordingly, approval was given to amend and update the Madhya Pradesh Work (Allocation) Rules by incorporating the changes.

Amendment in ‘Working Rules of Madhya Pradesh General Administration’ approved

While amending the “Working Rules of Madhya Pradesh General Administration”, the Cabinet approved electronic records under “paper” or “records”.

Administrative approval for various construction works and 279 posts of Jail Department

The Cabinet granted administrative approval Rs 73 crore 44 lakh for the construction of residential houses of Burhanpur Jail and creation of 60 posts, Rs 19 crore 44 lakh and creation of 33 posts for the construction of residential houses of Sub Jail Mauganj, regarding upgradation, construction of a new jail under the re-densification scheme of Sub Jail Maihar and approval on the DPR of the scheme, creation of 33 additional posts, creation of 60 posts in District Jail Anuppur, creation of 31 posts in Sub Jail Tyonthar, creation of 31 posts in Sub Jail Badnagar and creation of 31 posts in Sub Jail Garatganj.

Approval to start two new faculties in Government Polytechnic College, Rewa

The Cabinet approved the post structure for starting 02 new faculties Civil and Mechanical in Government Polytechnic College, Rewa.

In Civil Faculty, there are posts of 01 Head of Department and 06 Lecturers, and in Mechanical Faculty, there are posts of 01 Head of Department and 06 Lecturers.

With the opening of these faculties, the students of Rewa region will get the benefit of technical employment-oriented education.

Cement factories abound in the industrial areas located in Rewa district, which is full of natural wealth.

There is a demand for civil and mechanical students in these industrial units. In Government Polytechnic College, Rewa, the Fire Technology and Safety Branch will be kept as it is with the present designation.

Financial provision for expected recurring/non-recurring expenditure of approximately Rs 592 lakh was approved.
