There is no greater donation than Shramdaan and by doing Shramdaan and deepening the water structures, the water level of the surrounding area gets enriched, he said.
The above views were expressed by Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput in a program organized in village Buxwaha and village Semraghat of Surkhi assembly constituency under Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan in Sagar disrict.
Minister Govind Singh Rajput said that there is a direct relationship between water level and trees.
Where there will be trees, there will be water, he said.
If there is a shortage of forests and trees, then there will be a decrease in rainfall and the water level will go down, he said.
Therefore, it is important that as many trees as possible are planted and the planted trees are protected. he said.
Also, rainwater should be collected and wastage of water should be stopped by understanding the utility of every drop of water, he said.
Minister Rajput appealed to the people of the area and requested that just like we do our work at home, in the same way by doing Shramdaan, we can develop our village and save water sources, we can improve them because water is life and it is the responsibility of every person to save it, so clean the water sources like wells, stepwells, ponds around you so that the water level remains and these sources remain safe for us.
