Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that the growth of the manufacturing sector at the state level is crucial for the overall economic progress of the country.
He highlighted that the manufacturing sector plays a significant role in generating employment opportunities, which are essential for enhancing the supply of goods in the domestic market and ensuring self-reliance, security, and stability in the economy.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural session of the one-day workshop of NITI Aayog on the topic “State’s participation in Developing India’s manufacturing Sector” at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium.
The leadership of Prime Minister Modi has provided the country an opportunity to recognise its potential.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sensitive approach to good governance, commending NITI Aayog for providing momentum and a clear direction to the country’s development.
He said that impractical approaches and the period of Five Year Plan hindered the country’s progress. Dr. Yadav lamented that despite having potential, capability, and capacity, the country’s talents felt suffocated due to a lack of positive thinking.
He applauded Prime Minister Modi’s leadership for implementing schemes with transparency, accountability, and public trust.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh ranks at the top in the country in mining sector by implementing new policies and innovations.
Now governments are implementing policies by communicating with the concerned groups and taking them into confidence.
Our past has been very rich and prosperous in terms of good governance.

In the inaugural session of the workshop, speeches were delivered by BVR Subramaniam, CEO of NITI Aayog, and CK Saraswat and Arvind Virmani, members of NITI Aayog.
In the workshop, sessions will be organised on best practices of manufacturing sector in the states and gap assessment in manufacturing sector.
NITI Aayog members, subject experts, officials of various states and industry representatives will present their views in separate sessions.
The workshop is being organised under the joint aegis of the Department of Economic Statistics, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis.
