Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with beneficiaries of various schemes during the Tribal Mega Conference in Jhabua.
He interacted with recipients of the Aahar Anudan Yojana, including Gora Bai Sahariya, Rami Bai Sahariya and Vasto Bai Sahariya, gathering feedback on the scheme’s effectiveness.
Also, he interacted with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Swamitva Yojana, such as Prakash Vasunia and Rukhma Bai Damor, to understand the benefits they have experienced.
Furthermore, the PM engages with recipients of the Birsa Munda Self-Employment Scheme, including Deepak Damor and Sachin Chauhan, to gather feedback on the scheme’s impact on employment opportunities.
Prime Minister Modi has said that the Central Government has been dedicated to upliftment of tribal people, enhancing pride and dignity in the last ten years.
Madhya Pradesh is the best example in the country to show how effectively double engine government is working.
He was addressing the tribal convention in Jhabua today. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth about Rs 7500 crore.
Prime Minister Modi said that the Jhabua Yatra’s purpose of expressing gratitude to the people of the state who honoured commitment towards development in the Assembly poll.
He expressed confidence that the commitment of the people towards development will stay firm.
The Central Government is determined to live up to the public trust.
Modi said that projects worth crores of rupees inaugurated in Madhya Pradesh including Jhabua, Khargone, Alirajpur, Dhar, Barwani, funds released under Adarsh Gaon Yojana for the betterment of villages, big rail projects for better connectivity, Ratlam and Meghnagar railway stations. Development works like modernization of the Railways and giving Rs 1500-1500 in the accounts of two lakh sisters and daughters of the tribal society show that the double engine government is working double fast in Madhya Pradesh.
The credit for this mega campaign of development goes to the public. Prime Minister Modi announced Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University in the name of Tantya Mama.
PM Modi met the tribal people in Gopalpura of tribal dominated area Jhabua. He visited the exhibition focused on development works.
Prime Minister Modi reached the stage accepting greetings from the tribal brothers at the huge Kumbh.
PM Modi, while saluting the tribal community who had come in large numbers with the slogan of Baba Dungar Dev Ki Jai, said that Jhabua is connected to Gujarat too. The hearts of the people of Jhabua remain connected to Gujarat. Referring to the tribal culture practices, he extended extended best wishes on Bhagoria Utsav.
Development of tribals is our guarantee
Modi said that Madhya Pradesh is moving fast on the path of development. Earlier it was counted as the sick state.
The government of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee created a new ministry for tribal welfare and made special provisions in the budget giving priority to the development of tribal areas and tribal people.
PM Modi said that the Central Government made a record increase in the minimum support price on forest produce. The forest produce covered under MSP was increased from 10 to 90. Van Dhan Kendras would be opened in the country so that tribal products could get good markets. Tribal society is the pride of the country and the guarantee of the country’s bright future. Development of tribal people is our guarantee. It is the government’s resolve to make their dreams come true.
Education of Tribal children – A top priority
He Modi said that the government has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Martyrdom Day is celebrated today remembering the sacrifice of Tantya Mama and Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University is being announced in his name.
Higher education will be easier for the youth of Jhabua, Ratlam, Khargone, Dhar and surrounding areas. Eklavya residential schools are being started across the country for tribal students. It is not acceptable to the government that tribal children are left behind due to lack of education.
24 times more to Madhya Pradesh for railways
He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, development work is being done in 550 villages of Jhabua.
The Central Government is also paying special attention to modern infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.
Compared to the previous government, 24 times more is being given to Madhya Pradesh for the development of railways. Today, railway projects worth about three and a half thousand crore rupees have been inaugurated.
The National Highway has also been inaugurated today. Funds are being provided by the Central Government for the development of Madhya Pradesh in all sectors. The youth, women and tribals of Madhya Pradesh are gaining new identity.
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that Madhya Pradesh and Central Government together have given houses to 45 lakh families in the state, more than 65 lakh families have got tap connections. Water has been supplied to thousands of villages. Talwara Dam Project will provide water to the people of thousands of villages of Jhabua, Dhar and Ratlam.
Modi said that due to the double engine government, the youth, women and tribal people of Madhya Pradesh are getting their own identity.

The central government is also going to provide modern drones to 15 thousand self-help groups of the country under the Namo Drone Policy campaign.

Foundation stone of Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University laid
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth about Rs 7500 crore.
These include many projects related to roads, railways, electricity and water sectors.
Also, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University, Khargone and also laid the foundation stone of ‘CM Rise School’ Rajala Jhabua.
Prime Minister Modi distributed 1.75 lakh rights records to the beneficiaries of Swamitva Yojana.
This will provide documentary evidence to the people for their land rights. Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University Khargone is a dedicated university, which will provide facilities to the youth of high tribal concentration districts in the region.
This university, to be developed at a cost of about Rs 170 crore, will provide world-class infrastructure for the holistic development of students.
Installment of food subsidy scheme released to two lakh women
Prime Minister Modi released Rs 56 crore for 559 villages under ‘Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana’.
This amount will be used for various types of construction activities including Anganwadi buildings, ration shops, health centres, additional rooms in schools, internal roads.
Modern facilities like smart classes, e-library etc. will be provided to the school students.
Prime Minister Modi distributed the monthly installment of the Food Subsidy Scheme to about two lakh women beneficiaries.
In this scheme, women of various specially backward tribes of Madhya Pradesh are provided Rs 1500 per month for nutritious food.
Foundation stone laid for Talwara Dam Project
Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of ‘Talwara Dam Project’. This is a drinking water supply scheme for more than one thousand villages of Dhar and Ratlam.
