Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav laid foundation stone of Samrat Vikramaditya Sainik School at Bagwada village in Budhni tehsil of Sehore district today.
This will be started by Vidya Bharti Madhya Pradesh on approximately 40-acres.
Separate residential complexes will be built for students.
Day boarding facility will be available. The main building of the school will be built on 24500 square meters.
Along with this, sports ground, athletics track, hockey field, horse riding field, swimming pool and shooting range will also be available.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the students in the Sainik School named after Emperor Vikramaditya will get education and inspiration from Emperor Vikramaditya’s justice, charity, effort, bravery and good governance.
Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Swami Ishwaranand Maharaj (Uttam Swami), RSS National Executive member Shri Suresh Soni, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Ashish Chauhan, Ram Aravkar also addressed foundation laying ceremony.
Minister for Revenue Shri Karan Singh Verma, Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, MP Ramakant Bhargava, former Assembly Speaker Sitasharan Sharma and many public representatives were present.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Vidya Bharati Sansthan will promote values and spirit of nation building among the students.
Vidya Bharati Sansthan has made immense contribution in formulation of the new education policy.
He said that opening of Sainik Schools will provided full support from the State Government.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Samrat Vikramaditya Sainik School is being constructed by Vidya Bharati Madhya Bharat Province.
Modern education facilities and high quality facilities for best training will be available in the school premises.
Education will be imparted with the skills and values of the Indian Army at this place surrounded by forests and mountain ranges near Narmada River and National Highway-46.
The campus has international standards of educational block, auditorium block, residential block, swimming pool, hockey ground, horse riding, shooting range and other sports and adventure activities.
An auditorium will be built in the campus as per international standards.
There will be classrooms amidst natural scenery and rooms for arts and crafts classes to encourage creativity among the students.
