Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has not only been a leader in successfully implementing the new education policy, but has also achieved success at the enrollment level.

There has been a significant increase in the gross registration rate.

In the year 2021-22, the national average was 28.4 percent whereas Madhya Pradesh has successfully achieved 28.9 percent increase in student enrollment.

In Madhya Pradesh, maximum enrollments have been done at graduation level.

Madhya Pradesh has maintained the level of quality education making steady progress in this direction.

Despite the challenges of Covid, surpassing the national average is a significant achievement.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has congratulated the people of the state for this achievement.

Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar has also congratulated the departmental team for this achievement.

State’s achievements at a glance

The Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) of youth aged 18 to 23 years in Madhya Pradesh is 28.9. This is higher than the national average of 28.4.

This became possible due to the efficiency of institutions related to higher education as well as technical education, law, veterinary education and agricultural education.

All the institutions run by AICTE and MCI also extended cooperation.

Continuous efforts were made in this regard. 54 new colleges including private universities were opened in the state.

The Higher Education Department continued to monitor the work. As a result, the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Government of India has considered the achievements of Madhya Pradesh as important.

All India Higher Education Survey is conducted every year by the Government of India on the basis of essential aspects.

According to the latest survey report, Madhya Pradesh has been successful in All India Gross Enrollment Ratio with a percentage higher than the national average.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had intensified efforts to effectively implement the new education policy in the state in the year 2020.

Along with this, as Higher Education Minister, he also gave instructions to increase the enrollment of students in colleges and other higher educational institutions in the state.

In the survey of the Government of India, he had given instructions to make appropriate efforts by setting a target of taking the achievement percentage of Madhya Pradesh to 35 percent.
