Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that all the states including Madhya Pradesh will benefit from the mining sector reforms and innovations guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi particularly mineral-rich Madhya Pradesh.
Implementation of the reforms and innovations will further enrich state’s economy.
The transparent and accountable systems the mining process will enhance credibility.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the second conference of Mining Ministers of the states as the chief guest at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium.
Union Minister for Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, Pralhad Joshi presided over the conference.
Madhya Pradesh got the first award in the country for the best performance in the auctioning of mineral blocks.
The Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav received a certificate for this remarkable achievement.
It is noteworthy that Madhya Pradesh has stood first in the country by auctioning 29 mining blocks. Critical Mineral Report of Madhya Pradesh was also presented to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
Exhibition on Mining and Beyond
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister Joshi also visited an exhibition organized by the Union Ministry of Mines.
The exhibition showcases the achievements of the country’s leading mining companies, private agencies and start-ups, including the Geological Survey of India, District Mineral Establishments.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister Shri Joshi inaugurated the conference.
Coffee table book Building Trust-Transforming Lives was also released on this occasion.
Along with this, the digital launch of Average Sale Price System Platform and Star Rating of Mines was done. Exploration license rules were also released.
A short film on procedural reforms and innovations in the mining sector was screened.
MP has rich natural resources
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has rich natural resources.
He thanked Union Minister Joshi for giving Madhya Pradesh an opportunity of organising the conference of mining ministers of the states.
He said that the reforms and innovations will help states grow economically.
The model adopted by Orissa for revenue enhancement is worth-emulating for other states.
India is exploring minerals in marine area
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav commended the initiatives taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi to explore the mineral wealth in the marine area.
Activities like auction of mining blocks have made it possible to utilize the mineral wealth in the interest of people.
The people’s lives are being transformed using Mining Fund.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav hoped that the conference will pave the way for inter-departmental coordination.
Besides, initiatives will be taken to address the problems related to environment.
Union Minister Joshi for sustainable mining to improve economy
Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, Pralhad Joshi appreciated Madhya Pradesh under District Mineral Foundation Trust for promotion of livelihoods of the people affected by mining activities.
Congratulating Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on coming first in the auction of mineral blocks of Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister Joshi said that mineral resources have an important role in strengthening the country’s economy.
Other states should also take initiative towards auctioning mineral blocks.
States can bring about significant improvement in their economy through sustainable mining.
