Dr. Mohan Yadav was sworn in as new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh today.
He was administered the oath of office by Governor Mangubhai Patel in a ceremony held at the Parade Ground, Bhopal.
Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla were also sworn in as deputy chief ministers.
Yadav was elected the leader of newly elected BJP legislatures is MLA from Ujjain South.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president J P Nadda, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis and other leaders were present in the ceremony.
Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhopal to attend the oath ceremony of Dr. Yadav. He was given warm welcome by the officers and public representatives.
Mohan Yadav became 19th chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.
The OBCs account for more than 48 per cent of Madhya Pradesh’s population and form the core voter base for the saffron party.
