The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment observed the World Sight Day, through the institutions associated with it by conducting various activities like Eye Checkup, Physical Seminars, Awareness Programmes and Webinars at more than 20 places across the country.
The main highlights of the observance of World Sight Day were at National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) Hyderabad and CRC Lucknow where they provided free eye check up to childrens and their parents. Similarly others National Institutes, CRCs and other affiliated institutions observed the World Sight Day.
