The state government is making special efforts to promote sports. Indoor and outdoor stadiums with full facilities for sports are being built in CM Rise schools under the School Education Department.
Besides, the Sports and Youth Welfare Department is also expanding sports facilities at every divisional level. In the coming time, players from school to college level of the state will achieve top positions in the Asian and Olympic Games.
Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said this on the occasion of the closing and prize distribution ceremony of the 67th state level sports competition organized by the School Education Department at Tatyatope Nagar Stadium, Bhopal. Sarang congratulated all the winners, runners-up and participating players.
District Education Officer Anjani Kumar Tripathi said in the 67th State Level Sports Competition, fencing, rifle shooting, fencing and fustal in the under 14, under 17 and under 19 age groups were held for five days at TT Nagar Stadium, Mansarovar Sports Ground and Bishan Khedi Shooting Range in Bhopal, single and team matches were played.
On the last day, all the winners and runners-up were honored with trophies. 1 thousand 134 players from various divisions and Tribal Affairs Department participated in this state level sports competition.
