Public Health Engineering and Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla said that it should be given priority to provide benefits of tap water schemes to cent percent families.
He said that it should be ensured that the water supply schemes run smoothly.
Taking charge of Public Health Engineering Department in Mantralaya today, Minister Shukla reviewed the departmental activities.
In the review meeting, Principal Secretary of the department Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Chief Engineer Sanjay Kumar Andhwan, Project Director of Jal Nigam A.K. Jain and other departmental officers were present.
In the meeting, Minister Shukla instructed that adequate number of valve operators etc. should be installed by the contractor for the smooth operation of water supply in the group tap-water schemes from which water supply has started, so that the villagers can be regularly provided with the scheduled water supply.
Pure drinking water should be available in sufficient quantity.
He said that the villages benefited from the group scheme, where additional pipeline is needed to provide 100% tap water to the families, by implementing an immediate action plan for those villages, action should be taken on priority to provide tap water to the entire village. .
Minister Shukla said that in the month of September, he will review the departmental work division wise with the field officers at the divisional headquarters, for this the department should make necessary preparations. Principal Secretary Sanjay Shukla gave detailed information to Minister Shukla about the schemes approved by the department and Jal Nigam under Jal Jeevan Mission.
