Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan transferred Rs. 312.64 crore into the accounts of Ladli Bahana as a gift.

Chouhan announced that Ladli Bahana Yojana will get Rs. 1250 per month from October.

On the occasion of Rakhi Laldi Bahana is being given Rs. 250. They would get Rs. 1000 on September 10th and from October Rs. 1250 per month. On the occasion of Sawan, Ladli Bahana will get cooking gas cylinder for Rs. 450. Permanent arrangement will be made to continue this.

Chief Minister Chouhan made these announcements at Ladli Behna Sammelan held at the Jamburi Maidan in Bhopal here today.

Gas cylinder for Rs. 450

Chouhan announced that on the occasion of Sawan, Ladli Bahana will get cooking gas cylinder for Rs. 450. The state government will procure requisite data from the gas agencies and transfer Rs. 600 to their bank accounts allowing Ladli Bahana to spend only Rs. 450 on gas cylinder.

Chouhan said that Ladli Bahana will get cooking gas cylinder for Rs. 450 for Shravan month. Later, arrangement will be made to continue this. He thanked the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for launching PM Ujjwala Yojana.

Chief Minister Chouhan made these announcements while addressing Ladli Baana Sammelan held at Jamburi Maidan, Bhopal here today to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.

Speaking on the occasion, Chouhan said that in police and other government jobs, women will now be given 35 percent reservation. Fifty percent of teaching positions will be reserved for them. Priority will be given to women in local bodies, including Aldermen and other positions. Education fees of daughters will be borne by the government while ensuring better education to them.

Chouhan said no liquor shop will be opened in any area if women say no. For this the liquor policy would be suitably amended.

Rs. 10,000 per month

The Chief Minister said that those joining Rural Livelihoods Mission, will receive all the benefits. Land will be provided in industrial area for small and medium-sized industries. The stamp duty on properties registered in the name of women has been reduced to one percent. The goal is to increase monthly income of women upto at least Rs. 10,000. They would be provided loan at 2 percent.

Chouhan said that land freed from encroachments will be provided to needy Ladli Bahana in villages and urban areas. Housing facility will also be ensured to them.

Chouhan said that Ladli Bahana are not required to pay increased electricity bills upto September. Arrangements will be made to ensure that Bills do not exceed Rs. 100. An arrangement of Rs. 900 crore rupees has been made for providing electricity to every needy.

The Chief Minister said that women’s welfare is the top priority. Chouhan informed that more than 3,628 crore 85 lakh have been disbursed into the accounts of Ladli Bahana in three installments,

  • First Installment issued from Jabalpur – Rs. 1,209 crore 64 lakh 47 thousand.
  • Second Installment issued from Indore – Rs. 1,209 crore 62 lakh 19 thousand
  • Third Installment issued from Rewa – Rs. 1,209 crore 59 lakh 22 thousand

In Bhopal, Rs. 250 for each of 1.25 crore totaling Rs.312 crore 64 lakh 1 thousand 250 rupees.

Ladli Bahna Sena set up in 60,460 villages and urban wards. Each comprises 11 to 21 Ladli Bahan. A total of 8 lakh are part of the Ladli Bahna Sena.

Daughters As Lakhpatis

  • Over 45.72 lakh Ladli Laxmi become Lakhpatis.
  • More than 13 lakh 30 thousand Ladli Laxmi getting scholarship of more than Rs 366 crore.
  • Assistance of upto Rs 25 thousand to for higher education.

Gaon Ki Beti Yojana

  • So far, educational assistance of more than Rs. 544 crore to 09 lakh 60 thousand girl students.

Pratibha Kiran Yojana

  • Ove 67 thousand 600 girl students belonging to poor families in urban areas getting assistance of Rs. 30 crores.
  • 2 lakh women got elected in local body elections.
  • 17 thousand women members of self-help groups win local body elections.
  • 53 lakh families associated with 4 lakh 50 thousand self-help groups.
  • Credit linkage of Rs 5 thousand 800 crore ensured.
  • Target to make every SHG member a lakhpati.
  • Registration fee from 3% to one percent for getting properties registered in the name of women.
  • Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, women own 52% of houses in rural areas and 70% of houses in urban areas.
  • Under the Sambal Yojana, Rs 16,000 assistance to each woman for the health and nutrition.
  • Aahar Anudan Yojana – 300 crore per year to women of Baiga, Saharia, Bharia families. Till now of Rs 1 thousand 460 crore.
  • A provision of Rs 25,000 for laptops to meritorious daughters. Scooty for topper girl students in the school.
  • Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah-Nikah, Kalyani Vivah, disabled marriage , more than lakh 10 thousand daughters have been given of Rs. 1592 crores.
