Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that for the construction of Sant Bhagwan Ravidas Temple and Art Museum in Sagar, yatras will be taken out from 5 districts of the state, Singrauli, Dhar, Sheopur, Balaghat and Neemuch, on July 25, which will reach Sagar on August 12, passing through different places of the state, where the foundation stone of the temple will be laid. In these yatras, the yatras will reach Sagar by collecting soil and river water from village to village.
The yatra will pass through various districts of the state, for which a detailed route chart has been prepared. A picture, paduka and kalash of Saint Ravidas ji will be there during the yatra, which will also be worshipped. The proverbs of social harmony will also be mentioned on the chariot. During the yatra, a handful of soil and river water will be collected for the construction of Sant Ravidas temple. A committee has been formed by the state government for the arrangements and operation of the yatra. Arrangements will be made at the district level by the organising committee under the chairmanship of the in-charge minister.
The philosophy of Saint Ravidas and the messages given by him for social reform had a great impact on the society. His messages are relevant even today. Sant Ravidas’ teachings and messages will be effectively presented in the Sant Ravidas Temple and Art Museum to be built in Sagar. Sant Ravidas temple is being designed according to Aagam Shastra.
