Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that, the society along with the government also has an important role in taking the country and state forward on the path of rapid development. He said that everyone will have to come forward to end the evil practices in the society and to take the state forward at a fast pace. Rapid development of the state is possible only with everyone’s cooperation. He also called upon the citizens to cooperate in ending the wrong traditions of the society. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was interacting with the intellectuals of the region at Akhand Paramdham Ashram in Biaora on the occasion of Vikas Parv. During this, Higher Education Minister and in-charge of the district Dr. Mohan Yadav, former Minister of State Badri Lal Yadav, MP Shri Rodmal Nagar were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that there was a time when the per capita income of Madhya Pradesh used to be Rs.11 thousand. Today the average per capita income has become Rs 1 lakh 42 thousand. In Madhya Pradesh, the gross domestic production for the first year used to be Rs 71 thousand crore, which has increased to more than Rs 15 lakh crore today. Before the year 2004-2005, about 100 metric tonnes of all types of food grains were produced in the state, this has increased to 700 crore metric tonnes today.
Earlier there was irrigation system in 7.5 lakh hectare, today 47 lakh hectare has irrigation facility. Earlier power generation used to be 28 MW, which has increased to 28000 MW today. The people of Madhya Pradesh are getting the benefit of 4 lakh 11 thousand kilometers of roads built in the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that through several irrigation projects like Kundalia, Mohanpura, water is being supplied through pipelines for irrigation in each and every village of Rajgarh district.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that CM Rise Schools are being opened in the state to provide better education opportunities to the children. CM Rise School has been inaugurated in Gulana of Shajapur district today. In these schools, children will be provided better facilities than private schools. In these schools, along with library, lab, smart class, playground, the facility of vehicle will also be provided to take children from village to school and drop them back home after school.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that earlier there were five medical colleges in the state, which have now increased to 25. Earlier farmers were given loans at 16 to 18 percent interest, which was gradually reduced to zero and today farmers are being provided loans at zero percent interest. Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, an amount of 6 thousand rupees is being provided to the farmers by the Central and State Government.
Along with this, women are also being given an amount of Rs 1000 per month under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, which will be increased to Rs 3000.
Schemes are being run by the state government for the Ladli Laxmi daughters born in the state from birth to marriage. All the eligible beneficiaries are being benefited by preparing several beneficiary-oriented schemes in the state. He said that now pilgrimage is also being undertaken by aeroplane.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that an amount of Rs 4500 will be given to the students of class 6th and 9th going from their village to school in another village to purchase bicycles. Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana has been started to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth. In this scheme, youth will be given training in preferred areas and in return they will also be provided with stipend.
