Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that many innovations have taken place in the state in view of the National Education Policy.
The booklets on the innovations and achievements of the department should be published and sent to all the districts.
The publicity of government schemes should also be done through wall painting on the walls of colleges. For this, slogan competitions etc. can be organized in the colleges. Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the meeting of Madhya Pradesh State Council of Higher Education at Mantralaya. Minister Dr. Yadav said that NSS and NCC have been included as curriculum in the National Education Policy. Every college should ask for a report on the operation of its development activities by adopting a village.
Minister Dr. Yadav said that the gross enrollment ratio of Madhya Pradesh is 27.1 percent. An action plan has been prepared for the coming years. According to the guidelines issued for the Pradhan Mantri Higher Education Campaign for the year 2023-26, the work of selection of districts has started. The basis of selection will be low GER, militancy affected districts, border area districts and proportionate population of SC/ST, women, OBC and transgender. Apart from this, in the context of the National Education Policy, the creation of undergraduate, fourth year and postgraduate level courses, inclusion of new vocational subjects and employment-oriented courses at the graduate level as per the need of the field, creation of skill enhancement laboratories in each district, study through virtual medium in the districts. Digital studio and smart class will be established for the same.
Higher Education Minister Dr. Yadav said that future plans have been prepared to increase the level of quality education in the state. Establishment of Post Graduate College and Vivekananda Youth Resource Center in each district, preparing 262 colleges for NAAC assessment and participation and registration of all colleges and universities in NIRF (National Institute Ranking Framework), quality upgradation through training programs, confidential profile The goal is to make the process online and to implement e-office at the directorate, ministry and college level.
Principal Secretary, Higher Education Shri K.C. Gupta said that government colleges of the state have signed MoUs with 368 prestigious institutions in various fields. Internationally, 12 MoUs have been signed with Mexico, South Korea, France, Canada, Taiwan, Switzerland etc. and 152 MoUs have been signed with 48 prestigious institutions at the national level.
Commissioner Higher Education Karmaveer Sharma informed that Center for Indian Studies has been established in Vikram University, Ujjain to promote study and research on various aspects of Indian civilization. This center will throw light on the unique diversity and sources of unity. Massive Open Online Courses are being created for the SWAYAM platform through the Educational Multimedia Research Center established by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. This is the only media center in the country through which electronic media courses are being conducted. Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya Jabalpur is partnering with related institutions to integrate design with traditional and technological resources through establishment of Bio-Design Innovation Center.
