Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the construction of Luv Kush Temple and Dharamshala at a cost of Rs 10 crore at the divisional conference of Kushwaha Samaj in Sagar today. Rs 5 crores for the temple and Rs 5 crores for dharamshala will be given by the state government. The Chief Minister handed over the responsibility for site selection to the Kushwaha Samaj. A hostel will also be built at the same place which will be selected. Along with this, Chief Minister Chouhan also announced the formation of Kushwaha Samaj Welfare Board in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the chairman of the board will be given the status of a minister. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan attended the divisional level conference and felicitation ceremony of All India Kushwaha Samaj in Sagar today.
Chouhan said that places are being fixed for such youths who have not got employment after studies, to learn work, so that they can get engaged in some industry after learning work. They will be given Rs 8,000 per month while learning work.
The Chief Minister performed bhoomi-pujan of 3 tap-water schemes worth Rs 865 crore 91 lakh for Sagar district during the Sammelan. Through the Nal-Jal group scheme, water will be delivered to every house by laying pipelines in 520 villages. These include Rs 202 crore 99 lakh Sanaudha-Madhiya water supply scheme, on completion of which 77 villages will be benefited. Houses of 56 villages will be benefited from the Sanaudha-Banda water supply. The cost of the scheme will be Rs 166 crore 67 lakh. 387 villages of the area will be benefited by the Deori-Kesli water supply scheme, whose cost is Rs 496 crore 25 lakh.
Chouhan said that the Kushwaha community is hardworking and laborious and work really hard to earn their livelihood. The history of the community is glorious. There were many empires of this community, who worked with the spirit of service for the welfare of all communities. Apart from contributing to the freedom struggle, they also got rid of Britishers. The community left no stone unturned in sacrificing everything in the service of the country. In fact, Kushwaha community is a patriotic community, which has also worked for the welfare of other communities.
Chouhan said that our government has taken initiative to open a Horticulture College in Rahli, the process of which is going on. He called upon the Kushwaha community to make efforts towards better education of their talented children. The state government is paying the fees of talented poor children for admission in medical and engineering colleges. Medical and engineering studies have also been started in Hindi. Now CM Rise Schools better than private schools are being built in Madhya Pradesh. The government has now decided to reserve 5 percent seats for the children passed out from government schools for admission in medical colleges. The government has also done many things in the direction of the upliftment of women. A meaningful initiative has been taken to make women economically prosperous by implementing Ladli Laxmi, Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah and Ladli Bahna Yojana. The Chief Minister urged the Kushwaha community to provide benefits of the Mukhya Mantri Udyam Kranti Yojana to their children.
Earlier, Chouhan sent off 11 women by presenting them symbolic Kalash (urn) after the Bhoomi-Pujan of three groups of tap water schemes. He inaugurated the conference by garlanding and lighting a lamp on the portrait of Luv Kush, the deity of the Kushwaha community. The Chief Minister also honoured the talents of the Kushwaha community.
Minister Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha said that Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given recognition to such societies, which never got a chance to come forward. Shri Kushwaha thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of the society for declaring an optional holiday on the anniversary of great social reformer Jyoti Ba Phule. He expressed happiness that action has been taken to include the biography of Mata Savitri Bai Phule in the curriculum and to organise official programmes on her anniversary.
President of All India Kushwaha Mahasabha JP Verma and State President of Kushwaha Mahasabha Narayan Singh Kushwaha also addressed the programme. Convener Arjun Patel gave the welcome speech. Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava, Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh, Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput, District Incharge and Cooperative Minister Arvind Bhadoria, MP Raj Bahadur Singh, MLAs Shailendra Jain and Shri Pradeep Laria, Lalitpur MLA Ramratan Kushwaha, Mayor Sangeeta Tiwari, Vice Chairman of Mineral Development Corporation Rajendra Singh Mokalpur, District Panchayat President Hira Singh Rajput, Vice Chairman of Seed Corporation Rajkumar Kushwaha, Vice Chairman of Livestock Poultry Development Corporation Nandram Kushwaha, National Women President of Kushwaha Samaj Radha Kushwaha, State Secretary Prabhudayal Kushwaha along with public representatives, office bearers of Kushwaha Samaj and people of Kushwaha Samaj from all the districts of the division were present in large numbers.

During Chouhan’s visit to Sagar, Ladli Bahnas felicitated him and tied Rakhi and took selfie with him. All the sisters of the district met the Chief Minister for implementing Ladli Bahna Yojana and thanked him for the initiative for economic empowerment of women.
