The action by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) against those making unauthorized train tickets under the “Operation Uplabdh” campaign is going on continuously.
In this series, on the basis of the instructions issued for the verification of the suspected user ID sent through the office of Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Jabalpur, Railway Protection Force on 29.04.2023 at Katni in Jabalpur Division,
The RPF team of Assistant Sub-Inspector Sunil Singh Baghel and staff questioned Anil Awasthi (34), resident of Katni, on mobile, through personal user ID prepared e-tickets, changing the ticket price before giving to the customers. Accepted to sell by taking additional commission up to Rs.20-50.
During the investigation, a mobile phone with Jio SIM was found in his possession.
A total of number of 37 e-rail tickets (already travelled) generated from personal user ID of him was seized by RPF worth Rs 44,155. Case under Section 143 of Railway Act at RPF Post Katni was registered after confession by the accused.
