Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the cleanliness survey will start again in the country. The state should remain at number-1 in cleanliness. The state has created a new record in the field of cleanliness. Such a record should be maintained. Complete preparations should be made for the cleanliness survey.
Chouhan was holding a virtual discussion with all the commissioners and collectors regarding the preparations for the Swachh Survekshan-2023 in Mantralaya.
Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing OPS Bhadoria, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and departmental officers were present.
Chouhan said that cleanliness is very important for the state. The commissioners-collectors should start working on improving the ranking of the cities with the co-operation of the public. There should be a sense of competition among the people for cleanliness. Try to make your city the best. Efforts should be made to make the cities ODF. Efforts should be made to make the urban bodies garbage free and get star rating.
The Chief Minister said that cleanliness facilities should be maintained 24X7 in the cities and there should also be arrangements for waste management. The local public representatives and youth should also co-operate in the work of cleanliness.
Chouhan said that the ground survey for cleanliness will start from May 1. Cleanliness fortnight will be celebrated in the state from 23rd April. Cleanliness should be maintained in the cities throughout the year.
