Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that continuous empowerment of sisters is taking place in Madhya Pradesh. The dear Lakshmis whom I had fed in my lap, today they are working to run the government. 

Today one such daughter Bharti is the President of Harda Municipality. 

The state government implemented 50 percent reservation for sisters in panchayats, due to which today my sisters are ruling from village panchayat to district panchayat.

Chief Minister Chouhan attended the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Maha Sammelan at Harda today. 

He inaugurated and performed bhoomi-pujan of development works worth Rs 102 crore. Along with this, distributed benefits to the beneficiaries under various government schemes. 

Chief Minister Chouhan said that self for Eklavya Vidyalaya. Shri Hariprasad Paliwal had donated his personal 22 acres of land. Name of the residential building of the school. Will be kept in the name of Paliwal.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna has been started for the poor and middle class women of the state. All my eligible sisters will be benefited by this scheme. 

He said that brother-sister is a relation of affection, soul and love. Respect and welfare of sisters and daughters has been my top priority. I often keep humming this song “Phoolon ka tarar ka sabka kehna hai, ek thousand me meri behna hai.” Sister’s happiness is my happiness. 

The life of the sisters should be happy, this is the significance of my becoming the Chief Minister. This unbreakable bond of brother and sister in Madhya Pradesh will also lead to development and will also shape the future of the people.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that earlier there used to be a distinction between son and daughter. A son was considered a boon and a daughter a burden. I resolved to end this injustice and continuously worked in this direction. Ladli Lakshmi Yojana was first formulated in Madhya Pradesh, through which the work of making daughters millionaires was done. 

Today there are more than 44 lakh Ladli Lakshmi in the state. The daughters whom I had fed in my lap, today they are doing great things. The government takes responsibility not only for the education of poor daughters but also for their marriage. They get married under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that 50 percent reservation was given to sisters in local bodies of Madhya Pradesh for women empowerment. They were given 30 percent reservation in police recruitment and 50 percent reservation in teachers. On purchasing immovable property in the name of sisters and daughters, only 1 per cent stamp duty is charged from them. Now the Ladli Bahna scheme has been started for the sisters, in which they will be given Rs 1000 per month. The benefit of the scheme will be given to all those sisters, whose age is between 23 to 60 years, the annual income of the family is less than two and a half lakh rupees, land is not more than 5 acres and there is no 4 wheeler vehicle. Forms are being filled in the scheme till April 30. After examining the applications in the month of May, the amount will start coming into the accounts of the eligible sisters from June 10. This scheme will make the sisters self-dependent.

Chouhan said that it is our resolve to make every sister a millionaire and this work is being done in Madhya Pradesh through various schemes. Under the Rural Livelihood Mission, the government provides loans at 2 percent interest to the sisters of self-help groups for various works.

Chouhan said that from April 1, all liquor vends have been closed in the state. The Chief Minister instructed the Superintendent of Police that there should be no sale of illegal liquor and illegal sand mining in the district under any circumstances. Goons and miscreants should be rectified. If a leader commits a mistake, don’t spare him either. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that misbehavior with daughters will not be tolerated at all in the state. Provision has been made for death penalty to such misdemeanors in the state.

Chouhan said that the previous government had stopped many schemes for the welfare of the people, which we have started again. Under our government, the area under irrigation has increased from 7.5 lakh hectare to 45 lakh hectare. Harda has become the first cent percent irrigated district of Madhya Pradesh. Moran Ganjal plan has been approved for the area. Earlier moong was not produced here, today moong is being produced in large quantity.

Chouhan said that every poor person in Madhya Pradesh is being given a free plot of land for living. Today, 1700 pattas are being distributed in Harda district under the Chief Minister’s Residential Land Rights Scheme. He instructed that the pattas should be distributed to the identified beneficiaries by going from village to village.

Chouhan said that our government had made Rahatgaon a tehsil, now after fulfilling the condition of population, Rahatgaon will be made a Municipal Council. The Sub Health Center here will be upgraded to Community Health Center. The health center of Timarni will be upgraded to 50 bed hospital and its new building will be sanctioned. New electrical sub-stations in village Chandkhal and Bhimpura of Timarni assembly constituency and college in Rahatgaon will also be sanctioned.

In-charge of Harda district and Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat said that the state government has implemented many public welfare schemes under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan. Ladli Bahna Yojana is a very important scheme in the interest of women. He said that this scheme would improve the economic condition of women and increase the respect of women in society and family. He informed that about 80 thousand women would be benefited under the scheme in Harda district. Of these, 90 percent i.e. more than 70 thousand women have been registered. He said that the remaining women would be registered by the end of this month.

Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel said that the state is progressing continuously under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan. Harda district is number one in the field of agriculture, now it will also become number one in the field of irrigation. He said that after the completion of Moran Ganjal Irrigation Scheme and Shaheed Ilapsingh Irrigation Scheme, Harda district is going to be the first 100 percent irrigated district of the state. For this, he thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of the citizens of the district. Agriculture Minister Mr. Patel said that women will be self-dependent with the Ladli Bahna Yojana and the poor will be able to easily meet their needs with the amount received under the scheme.

Member of Parliament Durgadas Uike said that Chief Minister Chouhan had earlier started Ladli Laxmi Yojana for the welfare of girls, now has started Ladli Bahna Yojana for women, which will improve the standard of living of women. Addressing in Gondi language, the MP said that during the tenure of the present government, the state has come out of the category of Bimaru state and emerged as Golden Madhya Pradesh. The government has done remarkable works like celebrating Tribal Pride Day on 15th November and giving constitutional rights to the tribal class in the form of PESA rule and re-establishing the religious places of faith and faith in the state.

MLA Sanjay Shah warmly welcomed Chief Minister Chouhan on his arrival in Timarni and expressed his gratitude and said that the schemes of the state government are giving relief and happiness to the common people. He thanked the Chief Minister for the gifts given for the development of the district. In the conference, the sisters presented a picture made of rakhi and bamboo craft to Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. According to the tribal tradition, the Chief Minister was welcomed by tying Kodi jacket and Safa. Initially, the Chief Minister fed cattle feed to the cow. Public representatives, officers, sisters and a large number of citizens were present in the programme.
