Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the philosophy of Sant Ravidas and the messages given by him for social reform had a great impact on society and are relevant even today.

He said the teachings and messages of Sant Ravidas should be presented effectively in the Sant Ravidas Temple and Art Museum to be built in Sagar. Soil and brick to be brought from every village for Sant Ravidas Temple. The child form and childhood leelas of Shri Ram should be displayed during the development of Ramraja Sarkar temple in Orchha.

Chouhan was addressing a meeting held at Samatva Bhawan at Chief Minister’s residence, regarding the development of religious and tourist places in the state. The activities going on for the development of Jamsawali Hanuman Lok, Kolgarhi located in Tyonthar Rewa, and Salkanpur Devi Temple were also discussed in the meeting. Culture and Tourism Minister Usha Thakur, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary JN Kansotia, Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajaura, Principal Secretary Culture, and Tourism Shiv Shekhar Shukla were present. Collectors of Sagar, Rewa, Chhindwara, and Niwari and architects of various projects participated virtually.

Chouhan said that a trust should be formed for Sant Ravidas Temple and Art Museum and the work should be completed within the time limit with creativity and quality. Participation of the local community should be ensured in the development project of Ramraja Sarkar Mandir in Orchha. Special care should be taken to ensure that the work of nearby shops and business establishments should not be affected. Jamsawali Hanuman Lok should be constructed keeping in mind the local beliefs. There should be an effective demonstration of Kol gaurav in Kolgarhi and a statue of Lord Birsa Munda should also be installed here along with the idol of Kol kings.

It was informed that the Sant Ravidas temple is being designed according to the Agama Shastra which includes the construction of an Art museum, Sant Niwas, and library also. There is a plan to construct Sanjivani Van along with the temple complex in Hanuman Lok of Jamsawali, besides Amar Path displaying various forms of Hanuman ji. Grand entrance premises, temple premises, and Dharamshala are being developed in Ramraj Sarkar temple. The Chaturbhuj temple will also be connected to the complex. Gardens etc. will also be developed around Kolgarhi located in Rewa. There is a plan to develop a new ropeway with the latest technology at Salkanpur Devi Temple.
