New Delhi: Employees of Madhya Pradesh government have a good news to toast. Government has decided to increase the retirement at age to 62 years for their employees.
According to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan “due to the reservation in promotions; the general category employees do not get promotions that fast and therefore the age of retirement has been increased from 60 to 62.”
Shivraj Singh Chouhan took part in a program where he said that every employee should get the profit of promotion according to their seniority and therefore the age of retirement has been extended. He further added that the employees are unable to get promotions in their service time and get retired and therefore the government has extended the retirement age by 2 years.
It is predicted that this step is taken due to the elections coming up. The employee confederation had been asking for the extension of retirement age since very long. Many confederations have also did several movements for the same.
