Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that necessary facilities should be made available to encourage micro, small, and medium industries.
He said the employment opportunities increase when industrial units of this category are formed.
They should get adequate incentives. Necessary help should be provided even if such units operate the plants using new technology, he said.
Chouhan was discussing the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Conference to be held in Bhopal in the coming month in the Manthan room of Samatva Bhavan on Wednesday.
The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Secretary MSME P. Narhari, and other departmental officers were present.
It was told that Union Ministers for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Narayan Rane, and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will be invited to the conference to be held in Bhopal in April.
Along with this, senior officials of the Central and State Governments, senior officials of financial institutions and banks, heads of industry associations, and representatives of Laghu Udyog Bharti, FICCI, and DICCI will also participate. Successful Start-ups and MSMEs as well as representatives from Higher Education Institutions, Universities, and Incubation Centers, representatives from Walmart, ONDC, IIM Indore, and IIT Delhi will also be invited. According to the proposed programme, parallel sessions will also be held at the conference along with a discussion on new dimensions of export promotion, and financial solutions for micro, small, and medium enterprises in Madhya Pradesh.
In these sessions, discussions will be held on cluster development, enabling micro, small, and medium enterprises according to the situation, inclusive policy dialogue for change, and the need for digital transformation for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
Chouhan and other guests will also award various units at the conference.
Chouhan instructed to submit a report after making a realistic assessment of the operation, production, and possibilities of work in this area of soybean production and processing plants in the state.
The meeting also discussed the production and processing units of mustard and paddy.
