A case is registered against four senior players for allegedly beaten up a junior karate player for celebrating his birthday in a room of hostel of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
A case is registered in the Lordganj police station against the senior players on a complaint received from the father of 16-year-old junior player.
After the father of the junior player brought the matter to the knowledge of the SAI authorities a three members committee was constituted to probe the matter, the official said.
The committee has found the senior players guilty of committing the act and has recommended stern action against them, he said.
The incident occurred on February 4 when the junior player was celebrating his birthday in a hostel room, the senior players came there and beat him up with rods and kicks.
