Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Halma is a special tradition of our tribal society. In this tradition, the victim’s family and the person are helped, which is something to be proud of.

He said he will attend the programme on 26 February.

He said that this tradition of tribal society should go to the whole country and continue in the future as well.

He directed the officers that the programme should be wonderful. Chief Minister Chouhan was receiving information about the preparations for Halma festival in Jhabua through video conferencing.

Chouhan said that in Jhabua he will symbolically do Shramdaan and conclude the Vikas Yatra. He inquired about the preparations for the programme from the Collector. An exhibition related to tribes will be organised at the venue.

Chouhan will reach the Shramdaan site with a pickaxe. Commissioner Pawan Sharma also informed about the preparations.
