Today, the meeting of the Council of Ministers under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan started with Vande-Mataram song. The cabinet members were informed in the meeting that Madhya Pradesh has been given the CBIP award by the Central Irrigation and Energy Bureau. Madhya Pradesh has been selected as an excellent state for doing better work in the field of irrigation. Chief Minister Chouhan expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He thanked the Central Irrigation and Energy Bureau.
It was informed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan, irrigation capacity has been increased from 7 lakh hectare to 45 lakh hectare in the last 15 years. In the last 3 years, Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in the country to irrigate maximum area through piped system.
It was told in the cabinet meeting that Madhya Pradesh has got the first place in the country in maximum utilization of water resources for irrigation, drinking water and industries. The members of the Council of Ministers jointly congratulated Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and expressed their gratitude.
