Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the state government will also provide funds equal to the contribution given by the donors for the expansion of health facilities in charitable health institutions. Special rules will be made for this.
Chouhan was addressing the foundation day of Arogya Dham Hospital and Research Center in Gwalior on Sunday and the inauguration ceremony of the institute’s cath lab and medical vehicle service.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Madhya Kshetra Seva Pramukh Pradeep Khandekar presided over the ceremony held at Atal Auditorium of Jiwaji University.
Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, former Governor Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Managing Director of MD Interten Tele Pvt Ltd, who donated Rs 2 crore for the establishment of Cath Lab in Arogyadham Institute, Manish Singhal along with other officials of Arogyadham Trust were on the dais. In-charge of the district and Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, former minister Lal Singh Arya, Etawah MLA Sarita Bhadauria, service members and citizens associated with the trust were present.
Chouhan said that Arogyadham Sansthan run by Taranekar Smriti Seva Nyas is a lifeline for economically weak families in the present era. He said that this trust has done a virtuous work by starting a cath lab for the treatment of heart diseases.
He said that only the government cannot do all the work. It is the shared duty of the government and the society to contribute in setting-up projects like Arogya Dham. Shri Manish Singhal has taken a commendable step in this direction by donating Rs 2 crore for the establishment of a cath lab in Arogyadham. The government will make its full contribution in such works.
Chouhan said that Arogyadham Sansthan is serving the economically weak and needy patients with dedication. He thanked Anil Oak, associated with the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, by specially underlining his contribution in setting-up the Arogyadham project.
Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the fields of medicine and education are vast. Without the co-operation of private and voluntary organisations, it is very difficult to provide better health services to all. Private sector health facilities are more expensive. That’s why when voluntary organisations come forward in this direction, then organisations like Arogya Dham are formed, which work to provide health services to the needy at a minimal fee.
He said that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is serving the society by running institutions like Saraswati Shishu Mandir and Arogya Dham. Shri Tomar said that with the help of donors like Manish Singhal, charitable organizations are able to move forward. He congratulated everyone for adding a new dimension in the form of cath lab in Arogyadham. Along with this, special mention was made of the dedicated work done by Shri Anil Oak in setting-up this project.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that Arogya Dham Sansthan is a remarkable example of social service. The institute is realising the concept of Narayan Seva through Nar Seva. The service with which the institute has been providing health services to people even in remote villages for more than a decade is highly commendable. He said that remarkable works are being done in the field of health, education and infrastructure in Gwalior. It is the effort of the government that Gwalior becomes the leading city in the whole country. He also appreciated the dedication of Shri Manish Singhal, the donor and Shri Anil Oak, who contributed to the establishment of Arogyadham Sansthan.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Madhya Kshetra Seva Pramukh Pradeep Khandekar said that education and health services should be available within the society at a reasonable cost. This work is being done with dedication by Arogya Dham. He appreciated the announcement made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to help charitable health institutions.
The guests inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp in front of the portrait of Bharat Mata. It ended with the singing of the national anthem Vande Mataram. The operation was done by Madhusudan Singh Bhadoria, a member of the trust. Suresh Gupta proposed vote of thanks.
