Madhya Pradesh is developed as Central Hub for shooting of film-web series, famous filmmakers-directors of the country are getting inspired to shoot their films or web series are influenced by the State Film Tourism Policy.
In this sequence, the production house Om Sportment will shoot 5 films and 2 web series in the state. The Om Sportment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and the MP Tourism Development Corporation. The production house will invest Rs 50 crore in these projects in next 5 years.
Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture, Managing Director, MP Tourism Board Sheo Shekhar Shukla, the Board’s Additional Managing Director Vivek Shrotiya signed the MoU while Asheem Khetarpal and Radhika Khetarpal signed the MoU on behalf of Om Sportment. According to the MoU, the Company will give chance to the local artists in the web series by providing them training. Tourism destinations of the state will also be promoted.
Shooting of the first film ‘Children of God’ in January-2023
The Company’s producer Radhika Khetrapal said the MoU is a matter of pride for us. The tourism department has always cooperated with the filmmakers. We will shoot 7 projects in the state. The script for the project is ready. The shooting of the first film ‘Children of God’ will begin in January-2023 and will be released in October.
