New record of maximum supply and demand of electricity re-established in Madhya Pradesh

Electricity demand reached close to 17 thousand MW
The demand for electricity in Madhya Pradesh touched 16996 MW last day on December 25, 2022
This is the highest demand for electricity in the history of Madhya Pradesh. Earlier on December 23, the highest power supply of 3183.52 lakh units was done in the state. On December 21, 3163.28 lakh units of electricity was supplied in the state.
The demand for electricity in the state was recorded at 16996 MW, the demand in Madhya Pradesh Poorva Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company (Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa divisions) was 4640 MW, Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company (Bhopal and Gwalior divisions) ) recorded maximum demand of 5376 MW and Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company (Indore and Ujjain divisions) recorded maximum demand of 6622 MW. 359 MW power was supplied to Railways.
At the time of demand for electricity in the state was 16,996 MW, the production share of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company’s thermal and hydel power units was 4,034 MW, Indira Sagar-Sardar Sarovar-Omkareshwar hydel projects share was 1403 MW, the share of central sector was 4029 MW and the share of Sasan was 1120 MW, the share of IPP was 1677 MW. The state got 4732 MW electricity from other sources including renewable sources and banking.
