In a competition organized by the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Shakti Bhavan housed with headquaters of State owned power companies including MP Power Management Company stood first place in the clean office category.
In a function organized under the Swachh Sarvekshan (cleaniness survey) 2023, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu awarded first prize of Jabalpur city’s clean office to MP Power Management Company’s Superintendent Engineer Civil Prakash Pachauri, Deputy General Manager Civil VP Sahu and Senior Manager Rajeev Kumar Saraiya in a ceremony held in the city.
Shakti Bhavan the headquarters of various power utilities of the state government is spread in about 33 acres having 16 blocks, chairman block and multiple floors in various blocks.
Regular cleaning of this huge complex is done on daily basis.
Waste paper is sent to recycling unit – Shakti Bhavan houses the offices of all the state owned companies including MP Power Management Company, MP Power Generating Company, MP Power Transmission Company and MP East Zone Power Distribution Companies.
The dry waste paper coming out of the dustbins of the offices is collected and sold to the recycling units. Due to this the companies get revenue and the environment is not polluted.
Own Sewage Treatment Plant is set up The Civil Section of the Power Management Company looks after maintenance and functioning of Sewage Treatment Plant. The water treated in this plant is used for gardening of the campus. For last two years, intensive plantation program has been implemented in Shakti Bhavan and other adjoining campuses of the power utilities at Rampur and Nayagaon area of Jabalpur city. Due to plantation, greenery has come to the fore in Shakti Bhavan and its surrounding areas.
