The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh is celebrating Gaurav Diwas, but the truth is that BJP works against the tribal community. The BJP government, which made Madhya Pradesh number one in the country for tribal atrocities and ended holiday on World Tribal Day, does not have the moral right to celebrate Gaurav Diwas, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said in a statement issued by the Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday.
Kamal Nath said the state has not yet forgotten the incident of Nemavar, in which the entire tribal family was murdered and buried. The reality of BJP’s pride day is that tribal women are subjected to maximum atrocities in Madhya Pradesh.
Nath said the PESA law was not implemented by the Shivraj government for last 20 years. More than one lakh backlog posts are lying vacant in Madhya Pradesh, to fill those the BJP government does not show any interest, it is only engaged in misleading all the classes including the tribal class with lies, deceit and advertisements, the party press c.
Nath said that the reality of BJP’s pride day is that forest produce collectors were insured up to 2 lakhs, which was discontinued. On the other hand, 6 lakh applications were received in the Forest Rights Act, in which 3.25 lakh applications were rejected, the rejection of 52 percent applications means that the government does not want to give rights of water and forest land to Nath said the forest committees are lying inactive in the entire state. They are not allotted budget. Even if some budget is available, the Shivraj government spends it in its political programs and events to take credit.
He said by and large the tribal class has now come to know the reality of this false, deceitful and gimmicky government. The tribals of Madhya Pradesh have always been with the Congress, now the tribals of Gujarat have taken to the streets against the BJP. The BJP should now understand that they are not going to gain anything by confusing the tribal class. BJP should leave the politics of gimmicks and events and do something at field level.
