Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that public honors and awards motivate a person to contribute better to the society.
Congratulating all those honoured, he hoped that they would continue to do better work to help the underprivileged and backward.
Governor Patel said that he has visited remote areas of 40 districts of the state. During the tour, he interacts directly with the deprived and backward classes.
Seeing the expression of happiness of the beneficiaries from the schemes of the government, he feels proud and happy that he is the Governor of a state whose government is working with optimum efforts for the welfare of the people.
He congratulated Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his team for the work being done by the government for the welfare of the people.
He hoped that the government would continue to work at the same pace in future also.
Governor Patel said that the role of officials, public representatives and society is important in taking the government’s public welfare schemes to the backmost person.
Appreciating the various programs being organized on the state’s foundation day, Governor Patel said that the events have created an atmosphere of gaiety and enthusiasm in the state.
The initiative to honor and award for contribution to nation building efforts is inspiring. Governor Shri Patel was addressing the prize distribution programme as the chief guest today.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that everyone should take steps together to make Madhya Pradesh prosperous, let us take a pledge for the betterment of the state and establish new paradigms of development by giving relief to the common man.
Those who cause disturbances in development and peace, will be destroyed. At the same time, those who do good work will be constantly encouraged. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was presiding over the award distribution programme at Hans Dhwani Auditorium of Ravindra Bhavan this evening.
Referring to the special characteristics of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan in his address said that the state leads in many fields in the country. This sequence will continue even further.

Chief Minister Chouhan said the works of laying a network of roads have started in Jabalpur with an amount of more than Rs 5 thousand crores. Chief Minister Chouhan, while enumerating the increase in irrigation area, increasing per capita income and other major achievements of the state said that the idea of giving Chief Minister’s Excellence Award and other awards was in his mind for a long time, which has now been given away. This honour is social acceptance towards those who do the work.
It is not just a certificate but an honor for their hard work. Chief Minister Chouhan said that excellence and innovations will always be encouraged. The purpose of giving awards in different categories is that good work and non-doers should not be treated the same.
This excellence should be respected. Those who have done commendable work in the field of environment, children’s nutrition and health and in other fields have been rewarded today.
Chief Minister Chouhan exhorted that today everyone should work together to save electricity and water, for de-addiction, for the protection of environment, safety and honour of women.
While making Madhya Pradesh prosperous and proud, we must work to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve of a self-reliant and powerful India. Madhya Pradesh should be number one in every field, for which all cooperation should be provided.
