The Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested three persons including two advocates on Wednesday for writing letters in name of woman cop to the principal seat of MP High Court at Jabalpur relating a bail case of TI Sandeep Ayachi.
Advocate Omkar Patel (40), advocate Shivnarayan Vishwakarma alias Pappy (55) and munsi Raja Choudhary (41) are arrested in the case, Additional Superintendent of Police Gopal Khandel said.
There are four accused persons in the case including deceased advocate Anurag Sahu, he said.
The letters were investigated and it was found the letters were fabricated were sent in name of woman cop, he said.
Certain clues were found against the accused persons led to their arrested, he said.
During hearing of the bail matter of Sandeep Ayachi in the court presided by Justice Sanjay Dwivedi there was reference of the letters dated 26/9/2022 and 28/9/2022, he said.
The court ordered a probe in these letters wherein it was mentioned about giving bribe of Rs.25 lakh by Ayachi seeking bail, he said.
The accused persons are booked under sections 182, 419, 420, 465, 468, 469, 471, 500, 120(B) IPC in the Civil Lines Police Station, Jabalpur (MP), he said.
Ayachi is in the jail in connection with a complaint of woman cop over alleged sexual harassment, he said.
