Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that October 11 and 16 are going to be historic days for the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will inaugurate “Shri Mahakal Lok” in the holy city of Ujjain on October 11.
The foundation stone of state-of-the-art airport in Gwalior will be laid by Home Minister Amit Shah on October 16.
Chouhan said that the construction of a state-of-the-art air terminal costing about Rs 500 crore, which is going to be added as a new chapter in the development of Gwalior, will give a new impetus to the progress and development of Gwalior and Chambal regions.
Chief Minister Chouhan today took stock of the preparations for the foundation stone laying program of the proposed Gwalior Airport in Gwalior on October 16.
Chief Minister Chouhan during his visit to Gwalior reviewed the preparations for the foundation-laying program of airport expansion by holding separate meetings of public representatives and officials with Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Minister for Civil Aviation and Steel Jyotiraditya Scindia. District in-charge and Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Cooperation Minister Arvind Bhadauria, Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture and Food Processing Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing O.P.S. Bhadauria, Minister of State for Public Works Suresh Dhakad, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering Brijendra Singh Yadav and Member of Parliament Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that in the cultural revival program, “Shri Mahakal Lok” has been constructed in the holy city of Ujjain on the lines of Kedarnath, Kashi and Ayodhya cities.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate “Shri Mahakal Lok” at the feet of Mahakal on October 11.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country is progressing rapidly.
All-round development of Gwalior-Chambal zone is also taking place. Referring to the construction of elevated road, western bypass, national highway and irrigation projects.
Chouhan said that in this series of development, Gwalior is going to get the gift of a new and state-of-the-art airport. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is coming to Gwalior on October 16 to dedicate it to the people.
Chief Minister Chouhan called upon the public representatives that information about the dimensions of cultural and infrastructural development and progress should reach the people.
Not only participate in both these programs with full enthusiasm but also ensure public participation in large number.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is going to become the first state in the country where medical education will be conducted in Hindi.
He said that Prime Minister Modi’s thinking is that engineering and medical studies should be done in Matra Bhasha.
To give concrete shape to his intention, medical education is being started in Hindi in Madhya Pradesh.
Gwalior will fly high on October 16: Union Minister Shri Tomar
Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that Gwalior is going to fly high on October 16.
On this day, Union Home Minister Shah will give a state-of-the-art air terminal to Gwalior.
He said that Gwalior is developing progressively.
But this progress will be meaningful only if there is participation of the general public in it.
Therefore, everyone should participate in getting the general public involved in the foundation stone laying program of the airport.
Union Minister Tomar said that it is a matter of happiness that Jyotiraditya Scindia of Gwalior is handling the responsibility of Civil Aviation Ministry of the Central Government.
Gwalior is getting its natural advantage. Tomar said that on the initiative of Prime Minister Modi, the grant-based UDAN scheme is being operated, due to which the common man can now travel by air at very low cost.
Along with modernity, the historical heritage of Gwalior will also be included in the airport: Union Minister Shri Scindia
Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that Prime Minister Modi believes that economic activities automatically increase in a city which has state-of-the-art airport and good air connectivity.
With the construction of a state-of-the-art airport, Gwalior will rapidly emerge on the map of the country.
He said that in the expansion of the airport, which is going to be done at a cost of about Rs 500 crore, while on one hand the state-of-the-art air terminal would be constructed, on the other hand the identity of the cultural and historical heritage of Gwalior would also be established. Scindia said that the major cities of the country have now been connected by direct air service from Gwalior.
Do advance and micro planning for the foundation stone laying ceremony
Chief Minister Chouhan, while reviewing the preparations for the airport foundation-laying programme, directed the concerned officers including the Collector to finalize the arrangements in such a way that the common citizens coming to the function do not face any problem.
Care should also be taken that people reach the venue on time and reach their homes on time.
He said that detailed advance and micro-planning should be done to complete the program in a systematic manner.
Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh, Additional Director General of Police D. Srinivas Verma, Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Sanghi and Municipal Commissioner Kishore Kanyal and other concerned officers were present.
Inspection of Airport Foundation Ceremony Venue
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also took stock of the preparations for the airport foundation laying ceremony to be held at Mela Ground in Gwalior.
