Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) participated in Top Resa International and French Travel Market (IFTM) at Port de Versailles, Paris. The delegation of Madhya Pradesh was led by Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary, Tourism Department and Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board.

Various stakeholders including world’s leading tour operators, travel agents participated in the Travel Mart.

This B2B event ran from 20 to 22 September. On the first day, Principal Secretary Shukla held several important meetings with the stakeholders related to the tourism sector of Europe and shared information about the tourism potential in the state with the French media.

More than 200 countries and over 1700 brands were present in the exhibition.

More than 34,000 tourism professionals participated and 150 conference-sessions were conducted.

Displaying the rich heritage of Madhya Pradesh, Principal Secretary Shri Shukla said, ‘Madhya Pradesh is called ‘Heart of India’.

Boasting of natural beauty, rich in flora and fauna, there are two Jyotirlingas, 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and 11 National Parks, including 6 Tiger Reserves and 24 Wildlife Sanctuaries.

Now after a few months you will also be able to see cheetahs running in the forests of the state.

Madhya Pradesh has the distinction of ‘Tiger State of India’, ‘Leopard State’ and ‘Gharial State’.

The tourism board is actively trying to promote eco-tourism.

At the same time, its priority is to minimize the carbon footprint along with the preservation and development of the local community, culture.

The Deputy Director, Tourism Board, Yuvraj Padole discussed the strategy being adopted to increase the number of tourists coming to the state from Europe.
