Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan meet the family members of martyred BSP sepoy Girjesh Kumar Udde at village Chargaon in Mandla district.
Meeting the family of martyr BSF personnel Udde, Chief Minister Chouhan paid homage by offering floral tributes to the martyr’s portrait.
He said that full cooperation would be provided to the family by the state government. CM Chouhan met the martyr’s wife Radha Devi and other members.
Chief Minister Chouhan also discussed about taking one member of the family in government service.
Also met Udde’s daughter Kumari Chandrika, sons Vipin and Tanu. During this, the Union Minister of State for Steel Faggan Singh Kulaste was with him.
It may be mentioned that on 19th August, sepoy Girjesh Kumar Udde of BSF 145th Battalion was performing duty as a member of patrolling party in Tripura and was seriously injured in a terrorist attack.
Udde was rescued by helicopter and brought to Agartala where he breathed his last.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Udde family has been a family of true sons of Maa Bharati.
This patriotic family has been serving the country while in the army for generations, he said.
There is a tradition of true brave sons in this family, he said.
During the meeting with the family, he said that the state government is always standing with the family.
Bijadandi School of Excellence will be named after the martyr.
Chief Minister Chouhan directed Collector Mandla Harshika Singh to provide financial assistance of 1 crore to the kin of the martyr.
Chief Minister Chouhan announced the installation of the statue of martyr Girjesh Kumar at Chargaon and also performed bhoomi-pujan of the memorial site.
Former MP Sampatia Uike, MLA Dr. Ashok Merskole, DIG Balaghat Range Anurag Sharma, Superintendent of Police Yashpal Singh Rajput and villagers were present.
