The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Dushyant Gautam for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 7.89 lakh from the Complainant.
Brij Pal, ACP (Narcotics Dept. of Delhi Police at Bawana Police Station) is also made accused in the bribe case.
A case was registered against an ACP of Delhi Police and other official on complaint.
It was alleged in the complaint that the ACP of Delhi Police Brij Pal demanded Rs. 15 lakh through said official for giving relief to the wife of Complainant in an FIR registered under Section 21 NDPS Act, Bhalswa Police Station, Delhi.
CBI laid a trap and caught the ASI (said official) while accepting the bribe of Rs. 7.89 lakh from the Complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused located at Delhi and Faridabad. Investigation is continuing.
The arrested accused will be produced before the Designated Court at Delhi.
