BJP MLA (Balaghat) and OBC Commission chairman Gaurishankar Bisen said voting for Congress is like accepting slavery.
He was a guest in the function organized by a community to felicitate all newly elected corporators including BJP, Congress and independent in the Balaghat Nagar Palika Parishad. The new corporators were elected in the civic polls held few days back.
Bisen said ‘if I tell the ordeal of Emergency period one will never vote for the Congress (punja), giving vote to the Congress is like accepting slavery’.
He said ‘aapatkal ki yatnao ko agar Gaurishankar ke muh se sun lenge to kabhi panje ko vote nahi karange Congress ko vote dena ka matlab gulami ko sweekar karne jaisa hai’.
The Congress newly elected corporators and local party leaders objected Bisen in the function.
They were heard saying that the function was to felicitate all the newly elected corporators irrespective of any political party therefore the forum should not be used to take political mileage.
