Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed gratitude on behalf of the state residents, especially of Burhanpur to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji inspiration to make Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh first ‘Har Ghar Jal’ certified district in the country.
Chouhan said ‘it is because of your (Modi) inspiration that this resolution has been accomplished. Madhya Pradesh is determined to complete your virtuous efforts for public service and progress of the society’.
Status of the tap connections in Burhanpur district as on August 15, 2019 the number of tap connections were 37241 (37%) that has increased under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to 101905 (100%) in total 254 villages and 43701 households in tribal habitations. Jal Jeevan Mission aims to provide tap water supply to each household.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet greeted the people oif Burhanpur for ‘this remarkable accomplishment’.
He said ‘this would not have been possible without a collective spirit among the people and mission mode efforts by the JJM Team and the MP Government under @ChouhanShivraj Ji’.
Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat greeted all citizens of Burhanpur.
He tweetd ‘from just 37% households in August 2019 to 100% in less than three years, Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh has become the first #HarGharJal certified district in the country.
