In a first of its kind fashion show attires of Chanderi, Maheshwari fabric in Bagh, Nandana prints became a center of attraction.
The Madhya Pradesh department of Cottage and Rural Industries organized the fashion show at Mumbai on Friday to highlight the indigenous handloom arts of the state.
The sarees in motifs of Maheshwar, Sanchi Stupa, Khajuraho were the center of attraction at the fashion-shows was prepared by the craftsmen of Madhya Pradesh.
The craftsmen designed these sarees based on buildings of historical and archaeological importance on initiative of Madhya Pradesh Cottage and Khadi Village Industries department.
The sarees designed by various craftsmen of MP was presented on the ramp by famous actress Kunika Sadanand.
In addition a group of fashion designers from Madhya Pradesh displayed their talent through various designer materials.
The film stars, producers, dress designers marked their presence in the fashion show.
They witnessed fine workmanship of Bagh, Nandana prints on Chanderi, Maheshwari, sarees and suits of Madhya Pradesh.
A mix of traditional and western styles designs drew attention of the audience.
The attires were designed by Sadhna Vyas, Farhat Malik and Mumtaz Khan all designers from Madhya Pradesh.
The designer dresses made of chanderi, maheshwari and hoshangabad fabric in various colors and prints were displayed at the fashion show cause.
In the first leg of the fashion-show, designer Sadhna Vyas put for display attires in neo-ethnic collection was presented on the ramp by former Miss India-2020 Manya Singh.
The viewers applauded designs of bags, shoes, hand ornaments made from Khadi, silk fabrics by designer Farhat Malik in a combination of western style with traditional jewelry. His products were presented by Miss Universe 2020 Adeline Castelino on the ramp.
The presentation of Mumtaz Khan’s collection at the fashion show, the model wore long gowns, jackets, sherwanis, kaftans, fine zardozi embroidered lehenga on cotton fabric with the famous tiger print. Also menswear wooed everyone collection,the handlooms can be a luxury item, this can be seen from their collection.
The showstopper was a woman from Bhopal Divyanka Tripathi, who wore bridal lehenga of gold-orange tissue with zardozi work too attracted the attention of the viewers in the fashion show.
