A Maoist authority conveying a prize of ₹3 lakh on his head was killed in a trade of fire with security powers in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur area on Friday, a cop said. The trading of fire occurred around 8:30 am close to Kaika and Mosla towns, he added.
“A joint group of safety faculty including jawans of locale held watchman and staff from the 222nd unit of Central Reserve Police Force were out on enemy of Naxal activity when Maoists terminated and the experience began,” said overseer general of police (Bastar range) Sundarraj P. He added that the Maoist’s body was recuperated alongside a firearm from the location of the gunbattle.
The official distinguished the killed Maoist as Ritesh Punem, who was the authority of the Sendra Local Organization Squad of the Maoists. He added that a jawan supported a minor injury and his condition was steady.
