The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi Monday marked a reminder of comprehension (MoU) with Troop Comforts Limited (TCL), a Government of India venture, to foster Smart Protective Clothing for the Indian security powers.
TCL is under the Ministry of Defense and is settled in Kanpur and produces things for protection and paramilitary powers. The gathering has four plants – Ordnance Equipment Factory in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh; Ordnance Clothing Factory in Shahjahanpur, UP; Ordnance Clothing Factory in Avadi, Tamil Nadu and Ordnance Equipment Factory in Hazratpur, UP.
“Under the MoU, IIT Delhi and TCL will work in the space of innovative work of articles of clothing and gear for the security staff sent in the high-elevation regions like Siachen Glacier, clothing for insurance from ballistic weapons and advancement of sensor fitted articles of clothing,” IIT-D said in an articulation.
“All the four TCL manufacturing plants relying on their prerequisites will allot ventures to IIT Delhi for exploration and advancement. The extent of the coordinated effort will cover every one of the new fields including use of savvy materials to protection applications, combination of man-made reasoning in Troop Comfort Items and advancement of cutting edge infantry officer as a framework (Integration of Telecommunication and Health Monitoring Device),” it said.
To deal with the cooperative undertakings, both will comprise a Joint Working Group (JWG).
“Under the confident India mission, this MoU with IIT Delhi will end up being an achievement toward making the country’s security powers engaged and current,” said S K Sinha, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), TCL.
