The Karnataka government on Thursday declared the lifting of compulsory RT-PCR negative test report for travelers entering the southern state from Kerala and Goa in wake of declining Covid-19 cases. Taking to Twitter, Karnataka wellbeing pastor Dr K Sudhakar said that the new standard will be compelling for voyagers coming to the state through “all methods of transportation”.
The waiver of RT-PCR negative test command for Kerala and Goa travelers follows a similar given last week to those showing up from Maharashtra, Sudhakar included the tweet. Nonetheless, all travelers need to convey and show their Covid-19 inoculation authentication upon appearance in the southern state.
An authority warning gave by TK Anil Kumar, head secretary of the state division of wellbeing and family government assistance, informed that immunization declarations of travelers from Kerala and Goa, should show that they have been punched with the two shots or are completely inoculated against Covid-19. “This will be completely implemented,” the notice read.
The waiver will stand valid for explorers coming to Karnataka via aviation routes, rail lines, street or individual vehicle.
The actions were presented by Basavaraj Bommai government at the beginning of the third flood of Covid-19, driven by the Omicron variation of the infection, in December last year.
Karnataka on Wednesday logged upwards of 1,894 new Covid-19 cases, up from 1,405 announced the other day.
